“Mama! Prince Hans lied…again!”
Her eyes are wide in disbelief as she takes in her second viewing of Frozen. She has been twirling around in her tutu, but this news of Prince Hans making the same choice as the first movie, stops her in her tracks. Her incredulous face lets me know she had hoped for a different ending.
Her words stay with me. I know the truth of which she is reaching towards and the desires underneath them. We want things to turn out right. We want justice and harmony. We ache over the choices that bring pain. We want the happy ending.
