For two years we had an unexpected detour in our ministry journey.
For two years, this verse was often my night time prayer. “Father please meet us in the morning with news of your unfailing love. Father even if our circumstances don’t change, may we awake to the unshakeable awareness of your love. Father fill this darkness with your morning light.”
My prayer for each person reading, may you be satisfied today by the depth of his unfailing love.
Linking with Still Saturday. I highly recommend heading over there for some peace filling words and images.
Thank you for this blessing this morning. Just yesterday I decided I ought to memorize Psalm 90—for nighttime prayer. You’ve confirmed it!
Oh Sylvia, I love hearing that. Last night I was planning on a different Scripture and then was reading Psalm 90. I had the date of June 2010 next to this verse and it brought to mind how much I prayed this verse during that time. Praying as you memorize it and it becomes your prayer. Happy weekend to you.
Yes, even if our circumstances don’t change, may we sing with the darkness.
This photo makes me all happy.
Sandra- yes, even if the circumstances don’t change. That was hard for me to learn…and yet great beauty in discovering it.
I’m glad the photo makes you happy! We moved into our house this spring and this grows by our mailbox, all summer it has been tall grass. I was so surprised when this bloomed just about a month ago. I’d love to know what type of plant it is.
Love this verse! Thank you for sharing your connection with it. I love it when God drops a verse into my heart, and I hold on to it in prayer like this. It’s like a secret between He and I. I always find that He tends to respond in the most “surprising” of ways.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
Lyli, I like that, a secret between He and I. Yes, great tenderness in those verses and prayers.
Happy weekend to you as well.
Dear Melanie
Isn’t it just amazing that despite the trials we go through, that spending time in His unfailing love and Presence every morning, gives us so much grace, love and hope to face the new day!
Blessings XX
Mia
Hi Mia, yes it seems the trials, if we are willing, drive us deeper into finding more of him. So much grace and love and hope as you say. Nothing like being a parent has made me see my need for him to fill me up.
Blessing to you too friend
Loved reading this verse. He satisfies us in the morning so that we can sing all day 🙂 Beautiful photo too! May you have a blessed Sunday!
What a wonderful photo and Word … and explanation of how the Lord has touched and encouraged you.
