Noticing your works {Day 11}

I remembered the old days,
    went over all you’ve done, pondered the ways you’ve worked,
Stretched out my hands to you,
    as thirsty for you as a desert thirsty for rain.

Psalm 143:5 (Msg)

Noticing. Remembering. They work in unison.

When I remember all He has done, I notice more of what He is doing now.

When I remember the worries of yesterday, I trust in his provision today.

When I remember He created the world, I rest in his power.

When I long for Him, He quenches my thirst.

What can you remember about the “old days”, the ways He has worked in your life?

    The Old Days ? I Remember Growing Up And Doing Things With My Best Friend. Some Times I Wish We Had More Old Days To Sit With Friends And Enjoy EachOther Instead Of The Business Of Life. I Am Blessed To Have Great Memories Of The Old Days.

  3. Hi Melanie! I am visiting from Still Saturday.

    I love your theme for 31 days. I really should be noticing all the ‘God Moments’ in my life. And the past is my history with a faithful Love, and I should never forget that either.

    Gotta love King David. That man knew how to bare his soul.

    Amen, Melanie. When my boys were little, we made a banner of felt stones of remembrance. It’s so crucial to our life of faith to remember what God has done that we might see what He continues to do. Have a great weekend, and thanks for linking up to Still Saturday today.

    I could describe it too bluntly If the Lord hadn’t broken into my life when I was 4 months shy of 21, I would have been dead all those years ago [47 years ago] by either alcoholism, violence, or suicide. NOW? I’m a heart-aimed, heart-loving missionary, whether in our country or a different one, and dealing with people/kids who have gone through what I did and are heading for trouble and still not sure how God can handle it. I’m greatly desired to help and I DO desire to help, greatly.

    Bless you and your photo and your sharing…and your question. Broke into my life quickly and solidly. Thanks.
