“They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness!”
Psalm 145:7
His goodness is abundant. Overflowing. Plentiful. Generous.
His goodness is not in limited supply. I won’t find an asterisk, as I would in my sales bill, that says, “hurry, quantities limited”.
We don’t have to rush, nor strive, nor fight to get to his goodness. It is abundant!
As I was thinking of what it would look like to celebrate this abundant goodness, this picture of my son came to mind. Just taken a few weeks ago. An early morning, still in his pjs.
Riding his scooter and holding Curious George. His precious Georgie. (You can read some back story here on his first George!)
The beauty of the summer morning. My son’s singing and riding and holding on to George. This was celebrating God’s abundant goodness.
This was basking in the truth that everything about God is good. And his goodness is more than enough.
May we celebrate his abundant goodness this weekend.

Dear Melanie
As I was reading your good advice that we don’t need to strive for our Lord’s goodness, I realized that striving on our part actually draws us away from Jesus and we miss His goodness altogether! Oh, that He woukd teach how to always just abide in Him!
Much love to your son and Georgie too. (Mine had a green dragon when he was a boy, called Dirkie)

Abide- such an important word…and choice.
Love to you!
Love this promise! Thank you for sharing it.
Hi Lyli- It was a good reminder for me this past week. Blessings to you.
There are seasons where I feel over-privileged in his goodness, so aware of every blessing and provision. I know it is simply my awareness that has changed in those seasons because he is always so good.
Amy- yes, so often I think of God’s goodness based on circumstances, versus a characteristic of him.
Thanks for this much needed reminder!
You are welcome Beth 🙂
celebrating His way-so-generous bountiful goodness with you this weekend, Melanie!
Thanks for celebrating with me Linda!
Awww, what a cutie. And what a great verse to illustrate with him. Thank you for a lovely visit.
Our pastor wrapped up a sermon series today on Grace and these words on our my heart…His grace is enough. “Overwhelm me. Overwhelm me. Overwhelm me with Your grace.” He is so GOOD! Blessings.
Beth- sounds like a wonderful series! Overwhelm me- yes!
Celebrating God’s goodness with you from still saturday.
