It keeps falling. Each day a few more flakes.
“It’s March!”, I call out.
It keeps falling.
He whispers. He reminds. “I’ve got it covered.” (I think he means more than just covering the ground with snow.)
His word affirms. Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
Winters will end. He’s made them both.
I want to rush through the winter seasons of my life. Of trials and heartache and death.
But when I slow down, when I remember, I know there is beauty here too.
And I know that as my capacity expands to endure, so does my delight in the spring that will come.

How encouraging! I too want to rush through my winter seasons, but truly those are the seasons where I learn the most, as I lean in closer and learn to wait on the Lord.
